Botanic Blue Illuminated

December 1, 2012 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Come and hear the story how Fibershed is taking on a 400-year-old indigo tradition here in Northern California. The presentation will illuminate our farming and artisanal work to bring botanic blue to our community. The presentation is followed by a benefit celebration hosted by Eastern Classics, a local business that supports high-end woodworking skills in our community and abroad. The silent auction includes the first-ever, dip-dyed with locally-grown indigo, zafu meditation cushions.

Seating is limited. Please RSVP by emailing marnie.glickman@gmail.com today. Contact Marnie by email, or at 415-259-7121 if you have any questions.

Support your local food and fiber producers by stopping by the Fibershed Marketplace stand at the Farmer's Market in Temescal, Oakland! Today (Sunday) From 9 am - 1 pm. Touch and feel the raw materials that come from local farms and ranches. All natural dyes and fiber are grown within the 150 mile region, (the pillow covers you see are organic cotton from outside the area), but make a great vehicle for wonderful wool pillows.
