An extraordinary once-a-year opportunity to explore California native plant color in one of the most dramatic landscapes in our region. Ocean water, California chaparral dye color, and regional fiber come together on one of our most pristine Northern California beaches. Come to a day on the coast for a wood-fire dye day, where we will experiment with seawater as a binding agent. Celebrate autumn amongst the ecosystem that supplies our color palette. You will be provided with a range of locally sourced raw wool and cotton yarns, and you are invited to bring one small item from your wardrobe to dip into the dye vats.
