I have been a fiber artist since childhood, and have worked with the plants in the various regions where I have lived to dye many of my own yarns for the past several decades. I have always loved those yarns and projects the best, partly because of the deeper connection gathering the plants and making the colors gave to me.
Over the years, I have mastered knitting, crochet, weaving, spinning, natural dyeing and other needle arts, incorporating plant dyes into my work along the way. I have also studied permaculture for the past 14 years, and am a certified permaculture designer, as well as holding a BA and MA in Culture, Ecology and Sustainable Community. My small homestead and natural dye CSA have allowed me to combine these two passions while bringing something needed to the community and the planet!
