Intro to Wool Work – Processing / Carding Wool

In this 4-part series, you’ll learn the skills needed to turn raw fleece into a woven tapestry, step by step. Drop-in for one or complete all of these in-depth, hands-on classes on wool work. No experience is necessary, beginners welcome and encouraged to join.

Sep 14 – Processing / Carding Wool: An in-depth class on fiber preparation. Get hands-on experience hand carding wool. Participants will also be able to use a drum carder to learn about and practice blending.

Space is very limited, pre-registration is required. Please don’t hesitate to inquire about Sliding Scale rates!

About the Instructor: Kathryn has been spinning, knitting, and weaving for 9 years and currently focuses on using scrap and waste material for art. She runs weaving production for the Mendocino Wool Mill and is fascinated by humanity’s use of fibers across time and culture.
