With a new Massachusetts policy authorizing the commercial production of agricultural hemp in the state, local farmers have a great opportunity to take advantage of this new business opportunity. Hemp can be grown on poor soils and is an efficient weed suppressor, making it a low maintenance cash crop option for area growers. A tentative agenda is posted below.m
