Come learn how to make your own soap and luxurious lotion at home. In this 3-hour class, you will be guided through the entire process of both soap making using the cold process method and lotion making: we will make two different soaps using local, sustainable ingredients (organic oils, animal fats, hydrosols, butters & essential oils), determining our recipe on a soap calculator, safety procedures and making your soap. You will then get to decorate your soap with a variety of dried herbs. You will go home with 2 bars of soap in a silicone (reusable) mold and 2 ounces of the lotion in a glass jar. Note that it takes 2.5 weeks for the soap to cure and be ready for use. You must wear closed-toe shoes to this class.
